KK Trip February 2023 Part 1

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

SATURDAY, 04th February 2023.

Finally, after many many moons and sunrise and the bloody covid thing that prevents everyone from crossing the border. My wife and I, are going to KK. Both of us berabisly looking forward to this trip and guess what happened the night before we're leaving for KK? I woke up with a very very bad sore throat. My throat felt super dry, sticky, and super sore. Di otak ku apa nah? Terkana tah ku niiiiiiiii. 

And when I woke up that morning, the first thing that comes out from my wife's mouth was pucat putih mua abg! Hahahahaha gagar ku yang banarnya. Batah plan, hotel udah berbayar sekali damam. So got myself check, alhamdulillah ART test shown i'm negative. So off we go! Wooohooo!

This time around kami took our sweet time. Well, part of it was pasal I'm not feeling super duper great. We also have a few errands to do before heading straight to Labu. 

The beauty of going to KK after the school holidays. The border crossing was seamless. 

I have to admit that I really miss staring at these views while driving. 

Dijadikan cerita, kami singgah dulu di Lawas pasalnya let's be honest the last time aku ke mari was following my colleague di dapan. Hence sanang rasanya mengaga ke Sipitang. However, since this time around kami dua saja. And Waze wasn't that much help when you don't have a Malaysian sim card. Singgah tah kami di Lawas and bali sim card. And from there our journey was seamless. 

Apart from the jalan lah menuju ke Sipitang. Kepisan eh since some areas are still not asphalt laid. So when we arrived in Sipitang both of us were just super thankful and super hungry.

Chose the wrong gerai and we didn't enjoy our meal that afternoon. Honestly, we kinda expect this udah and already manage our expectation nganya, both of us didn't expect it to be this early in the trip hahahahahaha. Last last, makan saja lah!

Alhamdulillah, after a long drive we arrived in KK just after 3 pm. Pretty much on schedule.

Another thing that both of us were grateful for. When we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn't ready yet so we need to chill a little bit. Sekali the receptionist approached us informing us that there is a defect in our room hence they were upgrading us to a bigger room. Gonna share more photos in the next pose ok.

Once we freshen up, as usual, took a grab and when to IMAGO. Had dinner at Nandos and what I hate about most chain restaurants in KK right now is that you need to scan for the menu list. It is useless, it's lazy and poor customer service.

Aku damam so gambar quality during this trip was very poor. I also need to get a better quality phone. 

Right after dinner, we went straight to Godiva and enjoyed this yummy ice cream. Aku damam bah (awu balik balik) mcm kurang tia rasa ice cream aaa. I told my wife esok saja tani jalan jalan aa. Let us just rest tonight.

My wife really loves this area. To the point that she dragged her duvet and just chills over there sampai berkuruh tidur. Last last I told her nda takut kah tidur dakat tabuk, nahhhhh pandai pindah!

Hot and tea tissue was my best friend. At this point, my fever was flaring up. Even after taking my medication, I was heating up, and pretty much sums up that I had ILI. Berpaluh bah aku tidur usul saja berselimut aaa. Udah akhir malam paluh paluh ku tu.
